Local conservation authorities are keeping an eye on rivers and creeks in the region as snow melt and runoff conditions in the area could produce dangerous flooding conditions. Temperatures are expected to reach 10C today and as high as 14C Thursday, with rain in the forecast from Thursday thru to Sunday. It’s common to see Lobies Park flooded during sudden thaws, but on Monday morning the Saugeen River wasn’t in danger of flooding the banks just yet. However, local authorities are warning parents to keep their children away from the river’s banks during this time.
