The Brockton?Fire Department – with support from the Mildmay Carrick, and Hanover departments – Bruce County EMS and South Bruce OPP responded to a natural gas leak on Jane and Gibson Streets in Walkerton on Thursday. The leak caused approximately 100 homes to be evacuated within a 12-block radius. The evacuation lasted about two-and-a-half hours.
