Excitement is building in the air as the time for Santa Claus’ annual visit to Brockton nears.
A parade in his honour will be held Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. in downtown Walkerton. This year, due to an extra busy schedule, Santa wants to meet with good boys and girls before the parade begins.
He’ll be at the Walkerton library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. But will have to leave sharply after that in order to tend to his reindeer float.
The theme for this year’s parade is all about Olympic Spirit. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. All entries must be registered with The Walkerton and District Chamber of Commerce to qualify.
Forms can be faxed by the Chamber or picked up at The Walkerton Herald-Times office on Victoria Street North.
The parade will begin on McNab Street and proceed down Durham Street to the arena.
After the parade there’s free skating at the Horse Palace between 8 and 9:30 p.m., sponsored by the Walkerton Kinsmen.
